Chris Moller designed Mount Pleasant Community Centre as a natural extension of the estuary. The folding timber wave structure and minimalist elements of the roof were inspired by shell crusteceans that inhabit the intertidal zone right across the road. The theme of folding elements is seamlessly picked up by the surrounding hardscapes designed by Kamo Marsh.
